TANIN FINANCIAL - Financial and Investment Adviser, ITIN Number, Tax Management, Travel Insurance

Tunc Tanin serves as a financial advisor out of Cambridge MA. He is a Registered Investment Advisor in Massachusetts and he takes the word fiduciary to mean doing what's best for the clients all the time with a passion. Our best clients describe us as an Unorthodox Financial Advisor, which usually means we tailor a solution that we know that is going to work for you. We don't provide financial solutions that sound like you should cut expenses, save much more, lose weight, quit smoking now because that's what the financial planning software tells us. We find practical solutions for you and your family one step at a time. We can't promise to double your money but we feel you will sleep better working with us.


How do we get paid? Fees versus Commissions

We choose to combine fees and commissions because we believe financial industry has not developed to a place where the best financial advice can be given by just being fee only. Right now, We believe it is to our clients advantage to work with a financial advisor who can shop around the best products and guide to best solutions regardless of whether a fee or commission is being paid to the financial advisor. We usually don't engage in many fee only arrangements as we are concerned about over charging clients for basic financial advice. We think fee only advice is better fit for higher net worth clients. We are also aware being fee only is actually the highest compensation for the financial advisor in the long run so we are reluctant to push a model that compensates us the most.


We strongly support broad and simple Fiduciary standard that can fit in 2 pages or less for all financial advisors. It should be simple enough for my grandmother to understand and easy for general public to rely on.

4 Things we are not good at

  • Selling you a product after a cute sales presentation.
  • Pushing you into something that is not in your best interest.
  • Promising you the moon if you hire him as a financial advisor.
  • Telling you to put all your money in one basket.


You are candidate for my practice if you love somebody, you care about the world we live in, you like children and you worry a little about your finances. If you don't have any money or you are in a financial crisis and you think no financial advisor will talk to you, you are probably a good fit for my practice. 


If you have lots of money already and if you are miserable because you think you deserve more, I would not be a good fit for you. Fortunately, Wall Street has plenty of advisors that can help you. I am a low fee Registered Investment Advisor located in Cambridge, MA.
